Important information for the PAX S500:

• When you first start a sale, do NOT hit the Sale button. Simply enter the amount being paid to start the transaction.
• If the terminal screen dims, do NOT hit the green Enter key OR touch the screen to wake it up. Instead, start entering the dollar amount of the transaction to brighten the screen.
  • We have had several merchants accidently change the page from SALE to AUTH, and AUTH’s are not sales.
  • It is important to verify the Blue boxes at the bottom of the screen says CREDIT and SALE. If it doesn’t, press the blue up/down buttons until you see the words CREDIT and SALE.
