The Office of Investments is responsible for daily management of the Indiana University Operating Funds (“IUOF”), Construction Funds and Other Funds. All funds are managed according to the IU investment policy statement (IPS).
The Investment Committee has tactical oversight responsibility for the management of the IUOF and directs the daily activities of the Office of Investments. The funds are invested in consistence with prudent investment standards and in a manner commensurate with the intended use of the funds by Indiana University. Performance benchmarks are established accordingly.
Indiana University has no statutory authority to borrow for operating purposes. The primary objective of the IUOF is to adequately provide for the liquidity needs of the University while maximizing the opportunity to increase yield on investments.
